This kind of magic only exists in the stories we loved before we learned to be sensible, and every so often you stumble into a place that seems to have kept it. This is one of those: a little teapot house nestled into a mountain meadow, its chairs set for two as though someone knew you were coming, fairy lights winking through the grass like the whole clearing is quietly in on a secret. The details are what get you: the snails taking their unhurried time, the caterpillar mid-journey to nowhere in particular, the tent pitched just so for whoever fancies staying the night. Nothing here is in a rush, and after five minutes, neither are you. It has that rare, gentle pull that makes you set your shoulders down and remember how to simply be somewhere, without needing it to lead anywhere.
Wonderland was never really about the tea or the talking animals. It was about permission to be curious again, to believe in something soft and silly, to sit in a teapot in a meadow and feel, however briefly, that the world is far kinder and stranger than it usually lets on. Pull up a chair. The kettle’s practically part of the furniture, and you’re already exactly where you’re meant to be.
