In the palace suspended between the world of the living and the realm of the fae, two queens met for the first time in an eternity.
The first Seraphel, the Cherry Blossom Fairy wore a gown woven from spring petals, her butterfly wings still trembling from the journey. Thousands of white flowers clung to her skirt like fallen stars. She was lightness itself, the pink morning, the first breath of April.
The second Morvaine, the Queen of Grey Roses wore a crown of ivy and thorns braided into her hair. Her gown, sculpted entirely from faded roses, told the story of the winters she had crossed alone, the seasons without light, the gardens she had learned to love in silence. Across her dark skin shimmered lunar tattoos, ancient spells etched by the druids of Avalon.
Between them, petals fell slowly, as though time itself was holding its breath. Somewhere in the hall, a chandelier shivered. A pink octopus with magical tentacles slid across the marble floor, ancient omen, guardian of thresholds, witness to the pacts made between kingdoms.
The two queens needed no further words.
Avalon had reunited them. Avalon always knew.
